Due to some personal reason, Yayoi Kusama returned to Japan. It was the time of 1973 when she started writing over various topics such as minimalism, surrealism, feminism, Art Brut, pop art and abstract expressionism, etc.

Her nationality is Japanese, but she is famous in America and Western countries due to her writing work.

Yayoi Kusama published a book of paintings and poems entitled 7. These poems are based on the events that happened during art movements such as- feminism, minimalism, pop art, surrealism, Art Brut and abstract expressionism, etc.
